If you’re looking for an affordable, quality Jewish education for your children, and a welcoming, inclusive community for the entire family, you’re in the right place!
The Jewish Family Workshop IV offers Jewish Sunday School and community events with fun, engaging education about Jewish holidays, prayers, culture, traditions, and music for families in MetroWest and Central Massachusetts.
Located at Temple Beth Shalom in Milford MA, we are an easy ride for busy families from surrounding communities. Many of our community events are held right at the temple.
At Jewish Family Workshop, parents have a say in their child’s Jewish education. Following a cooperative model, dedicated volunteer parents make up the Board of Directors and Education Committee. The only paid positions at JFW are our outstanding teachers. New ideas and creativity are always welcomed and encouraged. Our collaborative spirit helps build our warm community and keeps costs low.
Children may begin Hebrew school on a part-time basis in Kindergarten/1st grade. Sunday school meets weekly during the school year for students in 2nd through 7th grade. In addition to studying Hebrew for the purpose of reading prayers, students are introduced to Jewish Holidays, Traditions, Culture, History and Torah Stories for a balanced education.
We strive to create a family-friendly schedule that accommodates the schedules of busy, well-rounded children.
Our classes meet approximately 26 Sundays per school year. We are usually closed on Jewish, Christian and national holidays, and school vacation weeks to support both Jewish and interfaith families.
Strong Jewish community. We foster an inclusive, welcoming environment at JFW where families from all backgrounds and of all structures can come together to form a community held together by Judaism.
Founded in 1975, the Jewish Family Workshop IV is a collaborative of reform and interfaith families who have joined together to educate our children in Jewish traditions and to join in the celebration of the Jewish holidays.
We represent diverse family structures and varied religious backgrounds, but share a desire to provide our children with a quality Jewish education at an affordable price.
Welcoming families from diverse backgrounds, our mission is to provide traditional Sunday school jewish education to children, ages preschool to 13 years, in a collaborative family format.
